Actor's Syndicate
The goal of the Actor’s Syndicate is to provide a platform that will allow you to display your talents and meet face-to-face with the top casting directors, associates and agents in Hollywood. In doing so, you will begin to formulate relationships with those members of the casting community who hold the key to your success. As in any business, you must have the talents to secure the job; however, it all begins with cultivating relationships and honing your craft. The Actor’s Syndicate provides an opportunity to cultivate both of these vital aspects to a successful career. You will have the opportunity to present yourself and your talents as opposed to being yet another 8x10 head-shot tossed aside as is frequently the common occurrence. The Actor’s Syndicate provides a realistic and safe environment to mirror the real audition process as well as promote an opportunity that allows you, the actor, to take an active role in your career. After all, if you don’t take an active position in your career advancement, who is going to do that for you?
At the Actor’s Syndicate, we hold our workshops in an actual casting office. This is done to replicate the environment of what you will be encountering in real auditions and casting offices. All reads are done in a private one-on-one setting with yourself and the casting director (and/or a scene partner if the CD has paired you up). Every actor will be given confidential feedback from the CD on their performance, headshots and audition technique. This type of constructive critique is critical in helping you understand what is working for you as an actor, and what is not. The hardest part of the audition process is never hearing how your audition/choices were received. These workshops will provide real and honest feedback that you won’t receive elsewhere.
At the Actor’s Syndicate, we bring in only the industry’s top casting directors and their associates. Every CD that will be in attendance must qualify as:
- A member of the Casting Society of America and in good standing
- Must have at least 18 months experience as Casting Director/Casting Associate
